WEDDINGS BY DJ ALLURE

When Your Guests Speak Different Musical Languages, Book a DJ Who’s Fluent in All of Them

Your wedding brings together everyone you love—across generations, cultures, and musical tastes. You need a DJ who can make all of them dance. Not just play requests, but read the room like a musician, blend genres like a producer, and create moments that become memories.

Baltimore-based. Available throughout the DMV and beyond.

WHY BOOK A DJ WHO ACTUALLY MAKES MUSIC?

There are thousands of wedding DJs. But very few of them actually produce music.

I do both. I’ve spent a decade producing Afro House, Tech House, and Progressive House. I’ve performed at legendary clubs like Paradox in Baltimore. I’ve shared stages with Steve Aoki, 50 Cent, and Lil Wayne.

But here’s what matters for your wedding: that production background changes everything about how I DJ your celebration.

What Production Experience Gives You:

Seamless Genre Transitions

Your grandmother loves Motown. Your college friends want hip hop. Your spouse’s family wants Bollywood. Your cousin requests country.

Most DJs awkwardly jump between genres. I blend them seamlessly using music theory, key matching, and production techniques. The transitions are so smooth your guests won’t even notice the shift—they’ll just keep dancing.

Technical Precision

Production taught me to hear music at a granular level. I know exactly which frequencies work together, when bass is too heavy for conversation, and how to build energy without overwhelming a room. That precision matters when you’re managing a 6-hour event with multiple phases.

Real Musicianship

I started with classical violin before I ever touched a DJ controller. I read music. I understand the theory. I hear like a musician, not just like a button-pusher.

That means when something goes wrong (the band runs long, speeches cut into dance time, the timeline shifts), I don’t panic. I adapt. Because I understand how music works, not just how to press play.

Problem-Solving in Real Time

Your reception is live. Things change. Guests don’t dance to the “safe” song. The energy dips unexpectedly. A family member requests something off-script.

A playlist DJ is stuck. A producer-DJ knows exactly how to course-correct—because I’ve done it thousands of times in clubs, where reading the room isn’t optional.

Most DJs treat your wedding like a playlist: play songs, hope people dance.

I treat it like a professionally produced event: read the room in real time, adjust energy continuously, create peaks and valleys, build to memorable moments, and leave your guests saying “that was the best wedding we’ve ever been to.”

Because I’ve done this hundreds of times. And I know exactly how to make it work.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you travel outside the DMV?

Absolutely. While I'm based in the DMV and know the area's venues intimately, I regularly travel for weddings. Recent destinations include Philadelphia, New York, Richmond, and destination weddings in the Caribbean and Mexico. Travel fees apply based on location.

How far in advance should we book?

I recommend booking 9-12 months in advance, especially for peak wedding season (May-October). I only take a limited number of weddings per year to ensure every couple gets personal attention, so popular dates fill quickly.

That said, if your wedding is coming up sooner, reach out anyway. I occasionally have last-minute availability.

Do you provide MC services?

Yes. I handle all announcements: grand entrance, first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss, toasts, and any other moments that need coordination.

I keep it professional and low-key—I’m not the cheesy “DJ hype man.” I make announcements, keep the timeline moving, and let the focus stay on you.

Do you work with event planners?

Absolutely. I regularly collaborate with corporate event planners and make their jobs easier by:

  • Communicating clearly and promptly
  • Coordinating with other vendors professionally
  • Executing timeline precisely
  • Adapting to changes seamlessly
  • Being reliable and prepared

What’s your cancellation policy?

Deposits are non-refundable (they hold your date and turn away other bookings). If you need to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, I’ll work with you to find a new date if I’m available.

A full cancellation policy is outlined in the contract.
